We’re Young, Fun, and Get Things Done:
The philosophy of the organization:
The Jaycees are the premier leadership training organization for young adults in their 20's and 30's. We offer leadership training through community involvement, business, international, and individual development projects. We have a variety of activities including social mixers, community service projects, training seminars, fundraising events and much, much more..
The Jaycees has multiple purposes:
-Promoting leadership training and self improvement for our members
-Providing support and innovation for our communities.
-Having fun while meeting other successful people.
We are the cure for the common social life.
The greatest friendships develop in our organization. Whether we meet for drinks and dinner, go kayaking or hiking, or catch a ballgame, this is a good group of people to do it with. From picnicking to black-tie dinners, there is something for everyone
We’re Starting New Chapters:
Every community needs a way for its best and brightest young people to get together. That’s why we start chapters all over the state. The gift of a new chapter to a city is the best thing that can be done for it because that chapter will pay untold dividends for years to come.
Look to the links to the left for a startup near you. These chapters are now in the formative stage. You can be a founding member of these chapters.

The Birds-eye View:
To be a member of the Jaycees, you join a local chapter. Membership in a local chapter also entitles you to state membership, membership in The U.S. Junior Chamber and Junior Chamber International. (JCI). Dues for membership into the organization are also on a local basis and vary from chapter to chapter, but rarely does an annual membership cost more than $100 per year.
Benefits of Joining:
Your Junior Chamber membership will bring you great personal benefits. It can be the means to the total development of your personality, and new horizons will be opened to you. As a member, you will learn to do so much more than you would in other associations. In Junior Chamber, a doctor may supervise a school construction project, a businessman may chair a child health project, a mechanic may organize and direct a seminar. In the prime of your life, grasp the opportunity to become a person with real and varied skills.
In a phrase, you will “Be Better”.
As a member you should have three goals:
1. To make yourself the best member of your chapter.
2. To make your chapter the best chapter in the Jaycees.
3. As a dedicated member, to help your chapter make your community the best local community in the world.
This is the best and least expensive way to make yourself into something
The Jaycees have provided the training for two thirds of the recent U.S. Presidents. John F. Kennedy was so proud of his membership in the Jaycees that he had a chair in his oval office with The Jaycees Crest stamped into it (right next to the chair with the Harvard crest)

Testimonials:
Hi Everyone! I just wanted to drop a note to all of you telling you how much I appreciate and love you guys. The SCV chapter made me feel so welcomed this weekend that I had a BLAST! I cant stop talking about all of you and the great times I had. I am making it my personal goal to attend Burbank [convention] as President (or at least a VP) of the fully chartered Ventura Chapter! I am already working on getting my brothers and their friends to join and I just referred a new chamber member today. We are on our way!
Lots of love,
